Children, Students & Families

At the heart of any vibrant and healthy community are strong and healthy families. Characteristics of healthy families include time together, affirmation, effective communication and values and convictions.  We strive to create an environment that promotes the value of the family and its individuals. From birth through life stages, it is our belief that a foundation in Christ is essential for spiritual, emotional, moral and relational health. Below describes some of the offerings we provide to strengthen the family.

Jesus' Rangers Camp

Jesus' Rangers Camp (J.R. Camp) is an original creation of our Sunday Kids' Ministry leader, Heather Lundberg. Her great idea is engaging kids, ages 3 - 5th grade, with live skits and strong Bible lessons in a year long curriculum through a camp like atmosphere. The teachers look like park rangers, the classrooms have tents and trees. Heather and her team help kids learn about God and Bible truth through this fun-filled environment. Sunday mornings start with adults and kids singing together in the worship center at 10:30 am. Kids are then sent off with leaders to go downstairs for the JR Camp experience. They will see a skit and then divide into age groups for the lesson. Parents then pick them up after the service. Nursery care is available for both JR Camp and AWANA.

Our Awana program will resume on Wednesday, September 12th.  We start in the sanctuary (located on the upper floor of our facility) with the Pledge of Allegiance, The Awana Motto and a hearty dose of worship singing. The kids are dismissed to their groups for Bible/scripture time and game time.  We end the evening back in the sanctuary with our Recognition Ceremony.  The Puggles (nursery) and Cubbies (preschool) meet in their classrooms at 6pm - parents drop their kids off and pick them up from their classrooms.  Cost is $40 for the year.
