Children Explore Walking With Jesus

The resurrection has taken place and Jesus now spends 50 days with his disciples. Children ages 3 – 5th grade will embark on a Pentecost journey, beginning Sunday May 1 and ending on Pentecost, June 12th.  On Pentecost, God kept His promise by giving His Holy Spirit to the early church. Children will discover through interactive activities, engaging stories and active music that walking with Jesus is an adventure filled with surprises, joy and hope. It all happens in Kids’ Zone, Sunday mornings, at 10 am.

The first leg of the journey, children will walk with Jesus by…

May 1            Letting His Stories Grow In Me  (Jesus’ story of the Four Soils)

May 8            Knowing Who He Is (Jesus’ stories about his names; The 7 “I AM” Names of Jesus)

May 15         Helping Others Know His Stories (The last fishing trip of Jesus & Peter)

The second leg of the journey, children will discover that walking with Jesus involves knowing who His Holy Spirit is. Understanding the person of the Holy Spirit is often difficult for children (and even adults), but knowing God is essential to growing in our love for Him.

May 22         The Holy Spirit Mystery (what we can and cannot know about God)

May 29         Our Life, His Home (what does it mean for Jesus to live in our hearts)

June 5           Help Me See The Holy Spirit (helping children to see God every day)

June 12         The Good Fruit Of The Holy Spirit (Our choices and actions affect God’s work in our lives)
