Inventors know that people are always looking for inventions that will make life easier, better and more enjoyable. Consider contact lenses, cars, smartphones, IPODS, and air conditioning to name a few. Once having them, we can’t imagine living without them.
Making life better is a noble calling. However, we need more than just better lives. We need changed lives, and that is exactly what Jesus does! He desires to create in us a new heart, with a new mind, living out lives in such a way that transforms not only our culture, but our homes and schools. Once having this new life, we need to gorw deeper. We need to be willing to turn over control of our time, bodies, possessions and skills. When we do that, he makes us into someone we never dreamed of.
Kids will be discovering during February how God takes the “trash” of our lives, and turns them into “treasures.” Topics during February include: learning how to be environmentally responsible, using skills to help others, learning to share one’s resources, and sharing with friends and families that life is better with Jesus.
